Watershed Plans Video

Communities throughout New York have a strong connection to its diverse natural and water resources.  The Watershed Plans: Protecting and Restoring Water Quality video highlights communities that are reaping the benefits of protecting and restoring these resources through the preparation and implementation of watershed plans.  Through a clear vision, public involvement, and creative partnerships watershed planning can improve drinking water, protect wildlife habitat, and increase economic and recreational opportunities.

In Brooklyn's Sunset Park, residents promote the development of a waterfront park in a heavily industrialized area. The City and State have embraced their vision and are working to transform the vacant Bush Terminal and its decaying piers into an exciting waterfront destination.
