Oswego has worked with the private sector to restore abandoned historic structures, bringing activity back to downtown.

The City of Oswego used its Local Waterfront Revitalization Program as an action plan: specific projects were proposed and accomplished in stages based on the availability of public funds, and there has been a city-wide revitalization.
